Gosh, I am sooo excited! Our VPFS2010 theme poll ends on Saturday!

We're almost done, and theres a clear lead....BUT I LOVE ALL OF THOSE IDEAS. Though the prom/formal one is slightly... dull. Really. Who thought of that? It's not even a "theme".

ANYWAYS.. Get ready for some VOODOO POWERRRR!

The Fashion Club is selling them as their first fashion show fundraiser! They are SO AH-DOR-AH-BLE. You don't understand. I wanted ALL OF THEM.

 

THEY'RE SO CUTE!

We're selling at $3.50. Thats CHEAP people. Seriously, they're usually twice as much or even more in stores. Oh, for the love of our club, how much we would do for you ♡

Components:
1. THE VOODOO DOLL (the bell on the top is to conjure up the spirits, and the chain is so you can attach it onto everything, anything)
2. A STRING OF HAY
3. A CARD (with the name of your doll and a little explanation on what it does. Yes, its in chinese, but come on. It makes it all so much more mysterious. Thats hot. If you really want a translation, there are plenty of Chinese people around.)

Instructions:
1. Get a candle and light it (any candle is fine).

2. Place the Voodoo doll in front of the candle. Light the piece of hay string... Don't burn your fingers!!! Just don't hold onto it while its burning.

3. While the string is burning, make your wish to the Voodoo Doll.

Today was not another Fashion Club obsessed day. Yinnie was at Waterloo to check out her potential future university, and Yaeeunnie ran around with errands.

One, being Number Two... up there ^ [NOT in the bathroom]

What a disappointment.

Yesterday, we got through a massive Interview Marathon yesterday. We interviewed 8 people for the positions of Head of Designers, Models, H+M, and Photography.

A list of the Fashion Committee members will be posted very soon.

[club] Fashion Club has the Power

We had an H+M meeting today.

A big man teacher came in and asked if we were a woman's group.

We told him we were Fashion Club and he backed away, going "Whoah whoahhh"

Fashion Club has the power.

We can make people join, we can get people to back off.

We're fierce.

There are a lot more makeup people than hair.

There are a lot more shy people than outgoing.

There are a lot more excited people than blank.

We're good.

We discussed our future High Heel Day, because quite frankly, Yinnie + Yaeeunnie didn't really look like they knew what they wanted to do for this meeting. But what else are you supposed to do with an H+M crew when you're not practising making people look hot?

Our ladies were quite excited about High Heel Day. Like I am.

Watch out VP, there's gonna be a fierce group of ladies stalking around the school in some heels. And they mean business.

Our men can join too. They will know a girl's life when they put on a pair of stilettos.

[club] Designer Meeting

So, the designers met today and got to know each other a little more.. ;)

They are one excited group. Well, they seemed more ALIVE than the Fundraising bunch. Let's see some spirit fundraisers! 27 designers showed up today... Hm, where did the other 13 go?

We dicussed themes for the fashion show. there were soooo many suggested.

And we discovered another Christian Siriano fan. HOLLA We're. Too. FIERCE.

Interviews went on after school. Only 5 people came, but my GAWD what an intense group. Too. Hot. wheeeeewwwwwwwwwww. Designers are truly the designers. ♥

[club] Fundraising October

The Fundraising Team had their first meeting today.

Sarah lost most of her poor little voice so Carol had to do most of the talking.
It wasn't as fierce as we expected, but it was the first meeting; nobody's used to each other yet. YET.
oh come on people, for the love of fashion, WE'RE ALL A BIG HAPPY FAMILY.

We discussed October fundraising ideas, and we concluded to selling Voodoo dolls keychains to go with the Halloween theme. These keychains are absolutely ah-dor-ah-ble, with so many different outfits and faces...

They will be sold during the last week of October, and there will be a VoodooGram service provided too.

How precious is that???

Candidates for the Head of Fundraising  were interviewed after the meeting. 7 members were interviewed today...

we'll just have to see which one [or two] will be introduced as the new member[s] of the Fashion Committee.

[club] Successful Meetings

On October 2nd we had our first info meeting.
For the very first meeting, we got 50 PEOPLE to show. Really, you guys are the BEST.

There were sooooo many enthusiastic questions in the crowd, and it was so nice to see all these people excited about fashion... you don't really expect that from our school, did you?

It was stuffy and crowded and loud, but it was GREAT.
The energy level was AMAZING.

Club Fair was another kinda of crazy.
Thanks to Britt and her loud voice and her expertise in catching peoples' attention, we were able to get about 80 people to sign up.

but ONLY A DOZEN OF THEM CAME TO OUR 2ND MEETING on October 9th.
cough cough, I know that they were busy with other important stuff, but honestly people, you don't get anywhere being absent on important meetings such as this. Screw the other clubs, screw the teams, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT FASHION HERE.

We won't be doing mass meetings anymore, until we are nearing show time ㅠ_ㅠ

Lots of models, lots of designers, lots of doubters, lots of curiosity.
It's great, isn't it?
We've beat a couple of clubs who like to boast about how many members they have.
Well we've got 140 people on our contact list!!!!!!!♡
